- No grasp of time or other people's identities (apart from Vladimir)- 'Pozzo?'
- More submissive and willing to do as Vladimir asks- 'the other, pig!
- Masculine stoicism show with the pain with his boots- 'Hurts! He wants to know if it hurts!'
|
- Complains about their situation more than Vladimir- 'stop blathering and help me off with this bloody thing'
- Causes Vladimir to doubt by asking questions- E: 'His name was Godot?', V: 'I think so'

- Seems to maintain the same character throughout- e.g. frequently saying 'let's go'
- Does not seem to challenge Vladimir was he becomes more aggressive
- However does somewhat become more open to violence- 'kick him in the crotch'
|
- Dependant on Vladimir for company and food- 'we always find something, eh Didi, to give us the impression we exist'
- Often repeats phrases/ idea, incapable of new thoughts- 'they rustle...they rustle' but claimed he used to be a poet- irony and the cruelty of time??
- Remembers events from a long time ago- 'all the way up the Eiffel Tower' but not recently, somewhat connotes alzheimer's
