  • carry waste products such as urea
  • both have white blood cells

Differences

  • tissue fluid has far fewer protein molecules
  • no red blood cells
  • plasma has higher pressure
  • same composition as lymph fluid

Overall comparison

Blood plasma and tissue fluid are very close in composition except tissue fluid has far fewer proteins as they are too large to go through the capillary wall.
