Overall comparisonOverall, the suffragists were a national organisation that believed the vote would be achieved through peaceful campaigning, and gained a lot of support for the cause, whereas the suffragettes were a smaller organisation that believed more violent tactics would give them the vote soon, however these methods often lost support for the cause. Although their methods were different they shared the same main goal to influence the opinions of important people to persuade them that women should have the vote. |
