Overall comparison

Both poems explore the impact of conflict and the reoccurring theme, in both poems, of memory. However, Kamikaze is written in third-person therefore, we able to view and understand a story from different perspectives. Whereas, in The Emigree, is written in first-person, meaning we are only able to view a story from one personal experience of an individual. The Emigree more conveys the theme of displacement- how innocent people with normal lives are forced out of their homes and country to a whole new, but difficult, life.
