	Advantages Made up of what Cromwell thought were Godly, pious men Large range of all ranks of social class and religious attitudes	Disadvantages New party would be nominated, not elected Problems over tithes, worries from more moderate members about attacks on property Radicals wanted to get rid of a maintained ministry but moderates did not want to abolish it Moderates wanted to get rid of common law and replace it with something simpler Radicals didn't want peace with the Netherlands but the moderates were still able to secure victory for the new Council of State Moderates decided to resign their authority and give their powers to Cromwell
	Evaluation Only lasted from July-December because of the massively differing religious views which meant they could make no agreements
