Overall summary

Although he had some successes (battle of Pinkie) overall his foreign policy was a failure as he failed to achieve his aims and it led to financial and security problems. It also could be argued that his disastrous foreign policy could have contributed to his fall. If his foreign policy had been successful then maybe he would have retained some loyalty from his Privy Councillors instead of them turning against him.
