	Advantages Salt marshes are effective barriers against strong currents. They're cheaper than hard engineering. Provides better quality of beach for locals and tourists. Beneficial to wildlife	Disadvantages Maintenance can be expensive. Very time consuming. Can easily be destroyed; storms, walking residents, horse riding etc.
	Evaluation They're cheaper and look better than hard engineering but they are less effective to protect the vulnerable land.
