Overall summary

To conclude, Shooting Stars by Carol Ann Duffy - repeat words of question - the poem serves as a reminder of what can happen when power is abused. The events of the poem happened over 70 years ago and Duffy urges the reader not to forget these events. However, it's sad to note that despite all the warnings about the brutality of the war, history is repeating itself and it would seem to me that we have learnt nothing.
