Advantages
- hydroelectricity can be made whenever it is needed
- wave power is useful on small islands
- tidal power gives loads of energy and is very reliable
- wind power can be used in remote places and can be used on a small or large scale
- solar cells are reliable in sunny places in the daytime and can be used on a small or large scale.
- geothermal energy is cheap to run
- biofuels are quick and cheap to make.

Disadvantages
- building a dam is very expensive
- wave power is unreliable because the waves are not as big when the wind drops and doesn't give much energy.
- tidal power can only be used in certain places.
- wind power only works when it's windy
- solar cells don't work at night or when it's windy
- Geothermal energy can only be used where hot rocks are near the surface.
- Biofuel needs lots of land to grow plants with the biofuels
