Causes

  • Deforestation : using trees for building, mining, clear space for cattle grazing
  • Abuse of natural resources: humans are very reliant on fossil fuels
  • Global Warming; more greenhouse gases are being emitted meaning the earth is heating up
  • Pollution: to much of something causes and imbalance in the environment

Effects

  • habitat loss, endangered animals, plant species lost, less carbon capture
  • pollution, natural resources running out, haven't set up alternatives
  • ice caps melt-sea level rise, severe weather patterns, sea life dies,habitats destroyed, increase chance of cancer due to more harmful UV rays
  • contaminated water, land is covered with litter, air is polluted by factories,cars and noise which effects human health, beaches and sea polluted with sewage

Overall summary

Individuals can: make changes to their lifestyle to save energy, adopt animals in nature reserves, recycle, join environmental organisations, protests about things that damage the environmentReligious believer can: make sure their place of worship is environmentally friendly, teach about good stewardship of the planet, support environmental charities, pray for guidance
