Online Booking

Advantages

  • book from the comfort of your own home
  • more time to look for holidays
  • make savings
  • read reports
  • arrange own accomodation
  • get the best prices
  • can change dates easier online

Disadvantages

  • credit/debit card details may not be kept safe
  • hackers can know when you are out of your house (burglars)
  • no personal service
  • can easily enter wrong information and book the wrong flight

Evaluation

it is easier to book online but the organisation and arranging of the booking is down to the consumer which can cause problems if they do not enter the correct details or do not verify them. Travel agents are losing out on business because of the online booking sites although some people still prefer the personal service that they provide.
