  • Chapter two - *Briefly* Mrs Morland get anxious about Catherine going
  • Chapter twenty-nine - Catherine has returned and the Morlands are angry at the Tilneys for sending her home without a servant
  • Chapter Thirty -  Mrs Morland accuses Catherine of fretting about Henry and how she thinks he doesn't like her. However, later in the chapter they show sympathy towards Catherine.
  • Chapter Thirty-One - Henry Tilney asks Mr and Mrs Morland if he can marry Catherine. Afterwards, Mrs Morland asks to withhold the family's consent until the General gives his because she feels that the General is the one who doesn't like Catherine (however, this is not the case)
  • Ten children, elder children left to fend for themselves
