  • Jekyll was consider a respectful doctor. Jekyll is known in the community for his decency and charitable works.
  • However is also engaged in some very unspecified and corrupt behaviour.
  • As the peom gradually builds supicion on his behaviour by Mr utterson , Jekyll starts to become more and more depenedent on this drug he used to stay normal till a point when he killed himself

Relationship with other characters

  • Dr Jekyll throughtout the peom is known to be doing supicious thing which leads  Mr Utterson to think Hyde is blackmailing Jekyll which as Jekyll's must help him.
  • The description of the Jekyll is seen in the novel to grow more suspicious as if he is hiding something.
  • "Grew pale" Can show that colours are drained out of his skin meaning he could be becoming sick.
  • Jekyll and Mr utterson are very good friends and Jekyll trust Mr Utterson "I would trust you before, any man alive,ay,before myself"
  • Quote shows the bond between these two characters.
  • Jekyll and Hyde are in one body , but consider diffrerent as for the dual nature they encounter.
  • Jekyll and Hyde is strangely compared to a father a son bond. As jekyll is mature, serious and polite. However acts like immauture child.
  • "Jekyll had more than a father's interest;Hyde had more than a son's indifference" (Pg 48)
