Advantages

  • students can use ICT to organise their work and make it more clear
  • ICT can support different teaching methods, this varies the way students can learn
  • some computer programmes such as teaching programmes prvide immidiate feedback on work completed by students
  • some applications can save time and effort such as programs that teach french vocb, these are quicker and more effective than using paper
  • encorages collaborative work, so students can work together

Disadvantages

  • ICT equipment is expensive and needs trained staff to maintain it correctly
  • hardware can be unreilable leading to breakdowns which cause fustration
  • using ICT means children can become dependent on computers and technology and not learn how to do things by hand
  • internet can lead to children accessing unsuitable sites
  • plagiarism has increased as students find pre written work online leading to students gaining unfair results on coursework

Evaluation

ICT can lead to many developments in education as it can make learning more interactive and easier for both students and teachers however there are problems to do with cost and safety and the worry of encoraging children to become dependent on technology whilst they proberly use it a lot at home as well.
