Evaluation

On the one hand, Hydroelectric power has a high energy content & is a renewable source. Also the energy source is free, reliable, produces no atmospheric pollution & is a known technology. Also the reservoir will provide recreation. On the other hand, this source of power can only work in mountains & valleys as large areas have to be flooded. Because of this, homes & businesses have to be moved or destroyed to let the dam form. As well as homes being destroyed, the environment is destroyed and many habitats will be too.  In conclusion, hydroelectric power is probably one of the best sources of energy we have as it has a high energy content & is reliable, the only problem is that large areas are destroyed for this to happen.
