Explain why many women were not content to return to traditional roles after WW2

Effects

  • Felt that they had done enough to cure previous discontent
  • Married women worked + majority were factory workers - income and independence
  • Many wished to keep roles and positions, hierarchy in society
  • More opportunity for daughters
  • Some happy to return to traditional roles
  • Relaxation - morality, increased freedom

Women experienced changes during and after the war they had to keep adjusting too
