Advantages

Use of tractors and machinery under MTS

Metal ploughs and fertilizers used for the first time in Russia
Large grain exports
Urbanisation

Disadvantages

"Dizzy with success" Stalin
Harvests dropped dramatically in early 1930's
Worse performance than Tsar's 1913 Russia
Famine 1932-1933
Huge decrease in livestock
Loss of peasant workforce

Evaluation

Technology improved but Famines and peasant conditions worsened and these economic successes and failures led to many outbreaks and frustration all throughout Russia.
