Die cutting

Advantages

good for cutting out shapes
good for making creases in card paper and plastics
useful for creating nets and complex products
good at cutting many layers

Disadvantages

uses sharp blades so can be dangerous
can be quite expensive if not used often
new ones have to be made for each design
has to be mounted onto a strong plywood base beore cutting

Evaluation

able to make complex shapes and is probably the best and most efficient at hat it does. the positives out way the costs and negatives. safety isn't that much of an issue as most of the process is automated.
