Dialysis

Advantages

Keeps you alive!
Dialysis patients can live for another 20yrs
Can take place at home

Disadvantages

Takes a lot of time
Risk of infection
Side effects (nausea, vomiting, headaches, muscle cramps depression)
Have to closely monitor glucose, water and ion intake
Have to rearrange your life accordingly (e.g. holidays)

Evaluation

Dialysis is good as it does keep people with Kidney failure alive however it is much more of a temporary solution because it does take a lot of time and drastically changes how you live your life.
