Adv/Disadv of Opportunity sampling

Advantages

  • Not time consuming - convenient
  • no need for a sophisticated system

Disadvantages

  • Biased - only certain people agree to do experiment
  • researched bias when choosing participants - may choose people who they know will act in a certain way

Evaluation

Definition: Chosen because they are convenient - may know they researcher personally
