Advantages

  • the food made by microorgansims lasts a very long time
  • Good alternative for rapid population growth
  • it doesn't depend on climate to reproduce
  • produced using waste products
  • wont run out
  • cheap and reliable

Disadvantages

  • Can be easily wasted
  • food isn't very appealing because of lack of taste
  • sometimes specialist labs may be needed which could be very expensive

Evaluation

There are many more advantages than disadvantages. Also - if the human race were dependant on microorganism produced food, it would be very useful and lack of taste becomes insignificant.
