Advantages and Disadvantages of paper forms

Advantages

  • Acessible to all people- regardless of computer
  • Can be handed out in a store
  • Easy to know HOW to complete

Disadvantages

  • Cannot create validation rules for format
  • Costly- Paper, printing
  • Takes time to manually analyis or enter data
  • Writing may not be legiable
  • Can easily leave fields empty

Evaluation

Although a paper form is easy to complete it is not as good as an online form as you cannot control the format in which the user enters the data meaning it will take longer to analyse. Whereas in an online form you can easily enter validation rules making certain fields required and will only allow certain types of data- for example only integers in in phone number question.
