Why does having a dense network of blood capillaries help the small intestine when carrying out active transport?

Thanks for the help :)

Intestine has villi and microvilli. Increase surface area to volume ratio - more absorbtion.

The capillaries help for the same reason, as there are lots of them there is a much larger surface area for absorbtion so everything can be absorbed much easier into the blood.

The thickness of villi/microvilli and capillaries also help as they are all only one cell thick.

Everything is just helping the absorption rate and efficiency :)
