Well I'm doing the same for higher and it seems to be working! At the end of each paper, look at what you particularly struggled with and then do more practice on that using your textbook or the BBC website or if your school subscribes to My Maths, go on that....it is great!

Great tip Dilly.

Doing this helps alot... and doing practice questions on the topic you struggle with also helps.

i usually look back at what i struggled with then do about 10 practice q's on that/those topics to make sure i understand it... :)

Yeah thats what im doing the topics i struggle with i write them all down and just use the mathwatch cd but ive realised im doing more for the non calculator as thats the first exam for some reason i find the calculator paper more hard

the calculator paper tends to be the harder one out of the 2 as it requires you to do more a maths as you have a calculator with you to speed things up a bit.. if you get what i mean..

I find the calculator paper harder too and I think its because they expect you to do harder calculations with a calculator. Mathswatch? Is that the Cd with the australian women because I didn't find it that helpful. I think what Muzz does is great and with 10 questions you are going to get enough practice!

I'm doing the exam too, and yeah I find the non-calculator way easier than the calculator paper. I got given mathswatch by my school, and I think it's way better than bitesize, it explains everything a lot clearer!

Hi all. I'm one of the moderators here on GetRevising. I hope you're all finding the site to be useful and that the exam season is going well for you. However, I have to post here to make an important announcement.

You may not be aware of this, but Edexcel exams are taken across the world. This means that people in one country might have finished an exam that hasn't even started somewhere else. In order to make the exams as fair as possible (and to discourage cheating), I'm therefore going to have to lock this thread before any sensitive details can be posted, that those who haven't yet taken this exam might gain an unfair benefit from.

You'll be welcome to resume discussion of the exam after midnight tomorrow (UK time), at which point everyone should have completed the exam. Again, I hope that this went well for all those of you taking it!
