as for A-level options...pick at least one subject which u really really enjoy...the other three can be based on wht u want to do in the future...but make the forth one something u enjoy...it will make everything better :)

Bio isnt too bad...i am enjoying it...regardless of how much i complain...chemistry truly is hard...but u can always work with it :) anyway...talk to u later :D

I'm not 100% sure yet of what i want to do in the future but i wanted to do a science at A-Level and Biology is my fav of the three. I might pick art for the subject that i enjoy :P

may the odds be ever in your favour xD same, i'm doing english lang and lit, IT, psychology and geography. geography is the only one i feel confident about in the lesson and i enjoy it too. I have 2 teachers one for each topic we're doing at the moment. the first one is my tutor as well and he makes the lessons more enjoyable than the 2nd one who is my head of year and, well, she's nice and a good teacher but she can be a bit boring.

ooo....both english..? as in lit and lang?! wow...thats pretty cool :)

i have two teachers for geog as well...one is a load of fun...she makes lessons really interesting and actually makes us work...but the other...god...she makes me want to sleep...she has a monotone...i cant deal with it :P seriously! :)

Posted: 04-11-12 20:02 by Namita

yep i know how you feel, my 2nd geography teacher thinks that we should involve a diagram with practically everything, i mean i know it helps some people remember things but i find it easier just writing detailed notes. and english lang and lit is combined i'm not doing then as 2 separte a levels that would be awful XD

Posted: 04-11-12 20:15 by Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch - Team GR

ha ha...my first geography teacher is the one for diagrams and games and all the interesting fun stuff (well fun most of the times...but can get out of hand sometimes :P)

the second one...i am not sure...i always come out of that lesson as if i was sleeping...she just has that really boring voice that you kind of feel drowsy...i am being soo mean...but it is actually true

Posted: 04-11-12 20:21 by Namita

and eng lit and lang together?? i didnt know there was a course like that...how do u find it?? :)

Posted: 04-11-12 20:21 by Namita

english lang and lit was the only english course my college had apart from english lit, but i didn't want to do that. My old geography teacher, the one i had for gcse and yr9 was the best. he let us learn they way we wanted to, he even asked us at the start of the lesson what we wanted to do that lesson. we had end of term parties, with cake and these games he made up. he was funny too which made the lessons more interesting. this was proberly one of the reasons i got a* gor geography.

Posted: 04-11-12 20:27 by Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch - Team GR

parties with cake and games?! wow...that is a really cool teacher...

the teacher i had for my GCSEs gave us a doughnuts after we finished our controlled assessments...and that whole lesson completely free pretty much...and then...on our last ever lesson with her...she made personalised cupcakes for each of us...our name was written on it with different coloured icing and everything...it was the sweetest thing! :)

my year 9 teacher in my old school was probably why i took geography for GCSEs though...he was amazing...he made geography soo much more interesting for me...and since then i have loved the subject! :D

Posted: 04-11-12 20:32 by Namita

thats exactly why i took geography, my teacher in year 9 made me enjoy it, in yr 7 and 8 i hated geography with a passion, just shows how the teacher can make all the difference. yeah he taught me for gcse too which was great, and in yr10 and 11 i got the subject prize for geography, teachers who nominated students for various subjects had to write something on the back of the certificate, and he wrote that i would be even more of a success at a level and possibly at degree level! I was so happy with that.

Posted: 04-11-12 20:39 by Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch - Team GR

wow...yeah teachers really can make a difference to the way you feel about a subject...

congratulations in all your achievements with geography :) are you planning on doing it degree level?! :) that would be pretty cool...

Posted: 04-11-12 20:42 by Namita

i think i would, i do enjoy it. my spanish teacher brought us all cakes from a cake sale at school once, my teachers gave us way too much food at gcse XD

Posted: 04-11-12 20:47 by Thegirlwhoknewtoomuch - Team GR

ha ha...all the food was to keep us going :) it is a 2 year course :P
