try to do most of your work in your free periods, like do any homework in these so, when you get home you have more time to revise. make a revision timetable, so you know what topics/subjects you revise on each day and for how long you need to revise for each day.

find a revision method that works for you. how did you revise for gcses? did that way work? if it did use it again. personally i find making flash cards doesn't help me as i can't condense the information correctly to include everything, but it does help some people. I rewrite any notes i made in my lessons that day so that they are neater, but this also helps you remember them. from these i revise by writing them up in bullet point form with any nessesary diagrams. I then read over them and highlight any key words. then I dedicate the weekend to doing past papers, do more of these as your exam comes closer so that you put the theory you learnt to good use by applying it. this helps you have a good exam techinique. I do make mindmaps for things such as case studies or certain methods that need remembering.

but do revision in the afternoon afterschool while your still in working mood, and practice with plenty of past papers.

hope this helps

I find flash cards helpful. You could take the look copy check approach. When I try to revise for science I do past papers on helpful websites. For subjects e.g. maths, mymaths is extremely helpful. Maybe go through your notes write up the most important points and I stick them up around my room, so I pretty much always see them and eventually take it in. Use your time wisely and don't waste it especially when your on the computer to get sidetracked to go on websites e.g. facebook. Spend 30 mins, then take a ten minute break, do something else and go back to it. Do it when you finish school as you are in the mindset of working still and try to do homework etc... the night it is set so you create more free time and revision time for yourself.

Hope this helped x
