What type of revision techniques work for you guys?

I'm currently studying GCSE and I've had problems revising, particularly in maths, but in others as well. I've tried spider diagrams, colour codes, sticky notes about the house, recording myself for languages, but they're all pretty useless to me, any tips? Thanks :)

Trying teaching someone, e.g parent.

I know it sounds weird but in the process of making something to show them it works, and then teaching them makes you remember too XD

Also try these:

Make games . e.g bingo

To remember key words that game where you have to remember words.

E.g: I went to the supermarket and bought an apple, the next person says i went to the supermarket and bought an apple and a orange

Images, in your mind it links to the key topic

personally i find making games and images confusing because then you just remember them rather than the stuff you need! what're you revising for?

I usually make notes from the textbook first then i try and reduce them to just one A4 side of notes for each topic so i don't have anything irrelevant. After that I make a mind map from memory and finally i make flash cards which i use to try and remember all the key points(:

Its a long process but it works for me!

However don't forget to practice practice practice exam questions because you'l only get better(:

hope this helped!

pat papers all the way!

you can know all the info, but if you can't understand what style of answer they want, you won't get the marks.

it depends on what subject it is for, but after the paper i will go through it highlighting etc. vocab for mfls, equations for maths, definitions for RE etc.

what works well is making posters with the topic you want to revise and then stciking them on the ceiling above your bed so you cant read them before you go to asleep every night!
