what is the tone being used in the manhunt and what words suggest this?

im trying to find words that give a glue as to what tone is being used in the manhunt poem by simon armitage and what the tone is exactly?

Hi Aissato,

According to me the tone is very slow as if Fred's wife (the UN peacekeeper in this poem) is running her hands over him from head to toe or it indicates his slow recovery through slow rhythmic tones;.."the blown hinge of his jaw" onwards.

In addition to this, the tone is thoroughly depressing and agonising for a reader who's deep empathy the poem has aroused;Laura (the wife) is allowed to "feel the hurt Of his grazed heart" and this highlights his emotional and physical pain.
