A phagocyte is a type of white blood cell which engulfs pathogens and presents the pathogens antigens on its surface, which the T cells bind to to activate it.

An antibody is a protein that binds to the toxins produced by the pathogens, these are secreted by plasma cells. They also coat the pathogen making it easier to for a phagocyte to engulf it and also prevents it from entering other cells
