I've taken both French and Italian and have done all my controlled assesments for these so I think by now I should be able to help! haha :P anyway what I did is very similar to Jack. I wrote it down and then went through it several times, one paragraph at a time (so say the question was what did you do last summer, I would read through this answer lots until I mostly knew it) Once I had done that about 10 times I would then write it down in really big writing, doing one sentence at a time (but without looking!) So I would do this:

  1. Read sentence one.
  2. Write out sentence one.
  3. Read sentence one and two.
  4. Write out sentences one and two.
  5. Read sentences 1,2,3
  6. Write out 1,2,3
  7. And so on until I got to the end of the paragraph.

Then I would do this for the next paragraph.

I also recorded myself reading it aloud, put it on my ipod but in seperate files for each paragraph and listened to them at night when I was falling asleep. This way if one of them I was particularly struggling to learn I could listen to just that.

Good luck with your exams!

Well I took french and the best way I revised was to write down what I was going to say, almost like a script, I then went through it again and again until I knew what to say off by heart. You can also record yourself and keep on listening to it. Hope I have helped
