total UMS marks in that paper is 120.

I got 98 and I got an A, but 108 was an A*

UMS marks:

A*= 108/120
A=96/120
B=84/120

so you needed 6 more UMS marks for an A :)

Raw marks (your paper was out of 80 marks, that's the maximum raw mark):

A*=61/80
A=55/80
B=49/80

if you want to find out what raw mark you got, go to: http://web.aqa.org.uk/UMS/index.php

scroll down to the drop down boxes, and fill in the information, including which exam you did :)

then, just click on 'Convert multiple marks', scroll down more and there's a conversion table.

thanks, a B is good too! I'm in year 10, I did the English Language unit 1 exam, which exam did you do?
