What is Huddersfield like? Is there much to do?

The town centre's busy and has loads of good shops but there aren't too many restaraunts if that's your thing. Night life's good too, and it's only about 30 minutes from Leeds and Manchester too. I suppose it depends what you're after. I mean, there aren't a lot of like museums or galleries if you're an art person, but there's loads of small live music venues and bars. Just depends what you're looking for! :)

Hi Jen!

There's plenty to do around Huddersfield from shopping, going to cinema and our vibrant nightlife. The one thing to remember is that Huddersfield is quite a small town, but don't let the size put you off. There's a shopping centre called Kingsgate which holds all the top high street stores, an Odeon cinema 10 minutes away from the university and plenty of clubs within a five minute walk from campus.

Huddersfield is also within 20 minutes from Leeds and 30 minutes from Manchester.
