what is arms race? (bio aqa 1)

the arms race is history not biology. and it's when two countires compete against eachother.. so for example if germany builds 1 ship america would build 5.

It's definitely about History and in context of the Cold War, concerns the US (America) and USSR (Russia) who competed against eacother in having the latest and most destructive weapons such as the Atomic and Hydrogen bomb and various missiles, such as ICBMs.

Unless if you're talking about antibiotics and MRSA - bacteria that mutates as we use new types of antibiotic, and it becomes resistant to it.

The arms race is from history, the USA and USSR were racing against each other to have the most destructive nuclear weapons.

I know, but I was looking through my Unit 1 file the other day, and I saw this resistant bacteria or something sheet and it was called "Arms Race". So I remembered this and thought Amy might have been talking about this :)
