AS level? I do lang, and for the first few months we did several creative writing pieces - like a humorous piece based on Bill Bryson's style, an editorial, a review of a 'new experience' we had to go out and do, and also a monologue.

After completing those for coursework, we did lots of stuff on Language and Technology, Gender and Power. Pretty much looking at ways language affects those three.

I like the course but it's not super easy!

I only do english language but lots of my friends do both lit and lang and the majority prefer lang not only because it is easier but they just prefer the course!

all the stuff about language and gender, language and power and language and technology is really interesting too.

i really enjoy lang and highly recommend it! there is a lot of coursework but its not too bad because you can basically choose what you want to do and only your best 2 out of 3 pieces are marked, everyone in my class did really well, no-one got less then a high B (before moderation) so that makes our exam less stressful :)
