Do you think highlighters are very effective in making relevant information stand out or do you think they're not for you?

Definitely.

Not for me. I'd rather underline!

I like them, very good for memory and standing out if you are dyslexic. I also LOVE big coloured paper that is all over my walls atm :)

Heyya, I think highlighters are very useful for exams in english and maths, to highlight the key points, however some people prefer underlineing, its up to youu :)

they're great, but don't get too carried away with highlighting! and they don't work on shiny paper, so make sure you underline if that fails :)

i think highlighters are great, very good for english exams too when your reading an article - just be careful not to over-highlight because then you can't tell what parts are the important parts and you will have to re-read all the extract again :D

brilliant - i use them in every exam, it helps me to make links with my revision (i remember what i highlight) don't underestimate them!

Highlighters are really useful for visual learners

I use highlighters by colour coding the different topics with a different colour and then highlighting the corner of the page so that I can see which parts of my notes are for the different topics.

They're particularly useful in subjects where you need content: so sources in History, argument elements in Critical Thinking, useful elements in English.

You probably wouldn't need to bother in subjects like Maths or Science.

Highlighters are really cool, especially the inky ones, they really help analysing and comparing things like for english and RE

They aren't that great for me because i'm not a note maker , i end up remembering the colour instead of the thing that i've highlighted so i don't use them

highlighters are great!
i use them to highlight key words ( all in different colours,
then write a key out with the colour and explanation!

They are a brilliant aid in English, as they make your point clearer.

It's also useful for when there are key words in a question.

Just don't highlight the entire text or the highlighters will be useless.

EXCELLENT!! but ONLY highlight key words and trigger words and stuff. no point highlighting whole paragraphs thats just changing the colour of the page -_- lol

unless the whole page is irrelevant except that 1 para that u wanna make clear :)

highlighters are good to use if u are a visual learner and like the main things to stand out from everything else, so highlighters are very effective for people who like to use them

Fine lil' helpers.

I love new stationary :D I personally think that highlighters are a great way of making a key point easy to stand out which will come in use when revising

highlighters help me a lot, especially in exams - i think of the page where i learnt the info and then the highlighted section (hopefully!) screams out at me! :D

i like to use loads of different colours so i can compare information etc.
for example, in law i always highlight CASES in ORANGE, so when i look over my book again, i can see the cases and hopefully learn to remember them and associate them with whatever topic it's relevant to :)
