What do you find is the best way to revise for English literature exams?

Just practising exam questions? Or making mind maps? (I feel like this isn't very helpful but I don't know really)

My exam is a month away. ><

Well I'm assuming you have to answer questions on poetry and 2 texts? So I recommend that you just learn your notes off by heart and research other people's ideas on them. Then yes, once you're confident, try the exam questions.

I go mindmap crazy but that doesn't work for everyone I guess. I mindmap all the main themes in the novel and add a quotes list for each mindmap. I plan to copy the quotes onto index cards so I can reread them on the bus etc. With poetry I have main "profiles" for each poem, including the main themes, the meaning, the context, the methods and techniques etc.

Good luck with the exam!

Go over the poems and the techniques used in them and make sure you understand the main themes of the book you are reading.
