I wanted to do medicine, but as soon as I saw the requirements, decided against it. If u r going for it, u are brave. I chise Biology, Chemistry, Maths and RE. You can choose physics instead of RE, but med schools want u to have an ethical aware mind, like abortion. I chose physics first and then RE as three sciences is HARD, and not fun, so I switched to RE from Physics. Make sure u do chemistry as it is the main subject in chemistry, also recommend biology as it will lessen your workload relatively in med. school. U don't have to just do these subjects, like med schools also like drama or english, but make sure you excel in it

Chemistry and maths are compolsory and most universisties prefer if you did biology as well. I'm thinking about doing medicine and I'm going to choose maths biology chemistry and physics for a level :-P a scary bunch I know....

:P I thought that it's going to be hard too.. i got A* in my 1st module... I dont find it very interesting (except astro physics .. that rocksss) but I just .. get it... I'm useless at any other subject (if not physics would've done geo) and geography.. well.. meh .. i dont know if unoversisites look into it as a good subject,.. especially top top unis... I also had a thought that what if i fail chem and bio / or one of them miserably?I've got engeneering and computing io could do ... what if I want to do Biophysics? I can have loads of combinations thanks to physics but my main fear is what if I get a U* ? LOL ..But I think of it as 2 years of working my **** of and then feeling like the greatest person in the world if i do well .. hehe...

Most universities ask for Biology and Chemistry. Some prefer you to also have Maths, but not all of them. It's not just about the subjects you choose - it's important to have relevant experience. Try getting work experience in a GP's office or a hospital. I'd recommend that you organise this a few months in advance, waiting lists for medicine-related work placements are really long! Try doing some volunteering work too. Volunteers stand out from the crowd! It also shows a self-less, empathetic characteristics, something that a doctor must have. Try to do volunteering with vulnerable people, eg. the disabled, the elderly or the homeless. This will give you heaps of experience and will ensure you are considered for a place on a medicine course!

I think you should go for biology, chemistry, maths but then obviously physics is the other option (but I'm doing physics and it's horrid!) so I think you should do something completely different for your fourth option like history or English - it will make you a more rounded person with more interests.
