this is regardin addition reactions alkenes .if an alkene is in a solution with more than one electrophiles eg:H2 and BR2 andCl2which would the alkene react with?

this a question regarding eletrophilic addition.

It would react with the Br2 because bromine is polar (one Br is partially positive the other is partially negative, basically the 2 electrons that make up the coavlent bond between Br2 are pulled towards one of the bromine molecules more than they are to the other) this makes the bromine attractive to the high region of electron density around the carbon to carbon double bond on the alkene.

H2 and Cl2 are both non polar, so they aren't attracted to the alkene.
