Apprenticeships were introduced because people who are claiming job seekers allowance started complaining about getting no money for doing training work to help them gain skills to get a job.

I think its unfair to put a student on such a low wage (for apprenticeships and minimum wage), especially as we dont receive EMA any more. If people on job seekers can get an allowance for sitting on their arses then why cant we, the people who go to school and sixth form everyday get some kind of support.

Minimum wage should be increased especially for 16-18 year old bracket , we work just as hard as people above 18 who have a higher minimum wage especially the people who juggle school and a job. t.

Also i agree Apprenticeships offer a ridiculous amount of money, they should be reserved for people on job seekers and students should be given a proper chance to earn some money after all the work we put in or alternatively people from poorer families should be offered more support.
