Suggest how having more stomata on the lower surface (rather than upper side) of the leaf helps the plants to survive better.

I think this is the answer;

Sunlight causes water to evaporate quickly so by having the stomata on the underside of the leaf, the sunlight can't get to the stomata ensuring the plant retains enough water to keep hydrated.
