Study Planner

Showing 1 to 12 of 12

Hi there,

I would just like to say I have just used the study planner and I was really impressed by the features you can use to plan your working week.

If I may suggest, would it be possible to add a 'delete all events' when you delete an event. Or if it already exists can someone tell me how :).

with thanks,

RTF

Ok, I use the StudyPlanner last year and it worked brilliantly as an aid for me planning my time. Since then, the app has been revised and it first appears to be better - days are split into hours, it automatically finds your exams, you can set how many hours etc etc. However - it doesn't work. Before I get into its biggest problem, I will first say that in the old system, before it generated your sessions, it allowed you to manually insert one off events and comitments into the timetable, while now it generates the timetable, you have to clear the table, insert your commitments, and then regenerate them.

BUT

BUT

the biggest problem IS - I am still getting revision sessions for an exam AFTER I have sat that exam. So I have an exam on the 5th, and there are revisions for it after that. This applies to all the exams. As well as that, the old planner made sure that the day before your x exam would be full of x revision sessions (which is logical). This new one places random revision sessions even on the same day of an exam. The old system was smarter than that and put the relevant revision sessions, taking into account when your exam was. So, essentially, though the system looks better, it's actually worse. It's no better than me making my own manually. So yeah, very disappointed.

Don't know if anyone has noticed that the printable PDF ( weekly ) is not the same as the planner that is displayed online. Weekly PDF seems not to go beyond 21:00 hrs . Also , there are some revison subjects missing . Mainly if there is a an activity in the evening on one day of the week . No revision between that time on other days seems to be missing . These missing subjects are visible on monthly printable PDF .

can i enter my revision periods manually??

I put my study hours as 9:30am - 9:00pm but it keeps scheduling revision for 3:00 am onwards. It also overlaps revision with commitments, is this because the hours I want to revise in the time frame I have set are impossible? Wouldn't it just notify me of that if it were rather than ignoring the limitations I have set? Any help would be appreciated

Love the study planner but I’m not always in school for the same period of time (e.g. 8:30-3:30) because I have free periods. But my timetable of lessons is two weeks so I struggle to enter manually! Could this be a new update??
