I can tell you about Genetic engineering if that's what you mean. This involves changing the genetic make up of an organism. A gene is cut out of the chromosome of an organism using an enzyme. The gene is then placed in the chromosome of another organism. The Gene may be placed in an organism of the same species to give it a desired characteristic or placed in another organism of a different species for example, the gene to produce insulin in humans can be placed in bacteria. Then the bacteria can produce large amounts of insulin to treat diabetes. And cloning: Embryo Transplants are used to clone animals. In this process an embryo with unspecialised cells is split into a smaller group of cells. Each group of genetically identical cells is transplanted and allowed to develop in a host animal. Hope I helped :), here is another method of cloning, Adult Cell Cloning is when the nucleus of a female's egg is taken out and discarded,  the nucleus from an adult's skin cell is then injected into the empty egg cell.
An electric shock is then applied to make the egg cell begin to divide and to form an embryo. This embryo is inserted into the womb of an adult female and from there, the embryo continues to grow and develop. The new individual is genetically identical to the animal that donated the nucleus from one of its body cells. Again, I hope I helped :)

For GM. All you need to know is the main stages:

-Select gene....Cut gene from DNA using restriction enzyme..Insert gene into a vector by Ligase...Insert into host DNA..Host (Bacterium) divides to replicate gene, e.g. Insulin.
