Should you draw diagrams in pencil in exams??

A kid in one of my lessons asked the teacher, what would happen if he wrote in blue pen when your supposed to write in black? our teacher said that the machine that scans the test papers can only read black ink. So say in a physics test they asked you to draw a sankey diagram, would you have to draw it in black ink or would you draw in pencil? Thanks for any answers!! :)

most definatly! It am surprised by your lack of knowledge, it is important to draw in pencil as if not you could make a large error which could cost your numerous points, could be the difference between that E and that A. good luck in your exams, and start sharpening your pencil. thanks.
