Insulation with double glazed windows - Physics

Question:
Two manufacturers advertise double-glazed windows of the same size and with dry air between the panes at the same price, but with a different gap width between the glass panes. Explain which one you would choose.

No idea, as I don't know what the sizes they're offering are.

But I recall the ideal gap size for air-filled units is (or was) 16mm, so I'd go with that if available.

The one with the larger gap, as there is a larger volume of air inside and air is a good insulator.
