Results day(s)

Showing 1 to 25 of 26

So... How's everyone feeling about results this August? What results are you waiting for? How are you distracting yourself from that bit of worry stored up inside?

I'm waiting for my AS results this summer and I'm already wishing I could just see my results! It's even more agonising than waiting for GCSE results last year :P

Yes... so true! Im only in year 9 and im waiting for my DT and media studies results! I cant think how you must be feeling. Waiting for the results is even more patronising than having to walk into the exam hall at the time!

Ps. Hope you do well in your exams and remember... if you tried hard then any result is good!

I'm just trying to forget about it for now, my gcse results day is on the 23rd of August so the day before i will be like ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

I felt most of my exams went ok but I messed up the timing on my english exam and I really need at least a B as I'm doing it for A levels. The exam was 40% of the final grade and I know I have 60% at B+ ( I was only a few marks of A) so I hope that helps me get a B. Ahhhhhhhhhh I'm so scared.

Ah, you'll be fine with English! Which English is it you're wanting to take for A level? I took English Language and absolutely love it, but I kinda hate GCSE English (odd, I know, I hadn't even planned to take English at A level, but I'm so glad I did).

That's what I love about coursework though, you have the time to really try hard and make the most of the situation to get a good portion of your grade sorted. I'm sure you'll have done fine in your exams...

I panicked a lot after my GCSE exams, worrying about timing and whether I included the right information, if I'd read the question right, all that jazz. It's largely (I think) because GCSEs are your first set of proper exams so you don't know exactly what to expect.

Theres the sick feeling too though but at the end of the day ive done units for nearly all the exams so if theyre good i cant really get AWFUL iykwim. Wow, are those results for GCSE or something else?

And yeah, it's nerve-wracking waiting for the results, and there's still more than a month to go to wait! It's difficult finding ways to distract myself from thinking about them, but we've already started cracking on with A2 work, so it's distracting me a little :P

Don't get me wrong, it certainly is exciting when you're stood with your results envelope waiting to find out what your final grades are, but I was so incredibly nervous too.

Nah, once you've got your results you'll be excited and over the moon at the thought that it means the exams are finally over :P

I'm quite nervous! I really want to get all A's possible a few A*s if I'm lucky but fingers crossed I will! I'm getting all 12 of my GCSE results in August since I did most of my exams in May and June.

ive already got an a* in maths, im aming for at least 5 more a*'s xD probably wont get it though, idk. scary feeling lool.

sammiecaine I want to take english lit and lang (combined) so I also need at least a B in my english lit this year, but I'm more confident about english lit as I felt my exam went well and I got an A for my coursework which is 30%, but I need at least a B in both english and english lit.

I really want to get an A* in geography I'm taking it for A level and I didn't even need to take it for gcse at my school to do it for A level, my target is a B but my teacher is convinced I'll get an A*, he said he thinks I could get close to 100% in my exams but I don't think I'm that good XD

Don't get me wrong here, but I doubt it's A2 work if you're in year 9...? GCSE is year 9/10/11, AS is year 12 and A2 is year 13 stuff...
