Of mice and men GCSE does anyone have any tips for the eassy questions?(20 mark one)

Always always ALWAYS analyse the language and make sure you stick to what the question is actually asking. Never make a point without FULLY explaining it!

P.S: Make sure you talk about the American Dream. You'll probably get the opportunity to mention it in some way or another. The destruction of the dream is inevitable.

Always refer back to context, it's a large part of what this question marks you on :)

I'm taking the AQA paper but I just went on the WJEC website and found these two questions:

(b) In Of Mice and Men there are three main places on the ranch: the bunkhouse, the harness

room, and the barn. Choose one of these places and write about it. Explain how what

happens there is important in the novel. [20]

Or,

(c) What do you think of Candy?

Think about:

• his job on the ranch;

• his relationships with other characters;

• the way he speaks and behaves at different times in the novel. [20]
