More help about general school life - applying to uni, college, which a levels, moving up to 6th form, gap years. maybe a discussion board for this?

I've noticed quite a few people are unsure on the process of moving up to either 6th form or university.

most of the members of GR are either doing GCSEs so will be soon moving onto A levels and many are doing A levels and will soon be applying to university

People probably would like to discuss things like what to put in a Personal statement as well as general discussion into what universities they have applied for and what courses

GCSE student will probably like to discuss what a levels they should take and people can give them advice dependent on what uni course and job they would like

Some people simply want to discuss with others about what they should do as they are unsure.

I think a separate message board for this would be valuable and well used by members

Who agrees?

Yeah, that would be great... any extra info on uni process from experienced people would be really helpful and having separate message board would make it so much easier to find out what you need to know!!

That's a great idea Alex

Hi Alex,

Have you found The Student Room website? This is our sister site and is geared up to helping people with their university applications, along with support about which subjects to chose for certain degrees and careers.

For personal statements take a look at:

There's also information about applying to uni here:

And then you can ask questions in the UCAS and applications forum (one of hundreds) which is here:

As we already have TSR, your requests won't be something that we will be implementing on Get Revising. Instead we will be focusing our efforts on improving what already exists on The Student Room.
