thank you! :) this is the source one, so are the key people only lister and simpson? or do we need to know about pasteur and koch because they influenced lister and simpson?

i'd say try to get a bit of knowledge on everyone you've studied. i just thought this would help just as a read through or somethingg. let me know if you need help on anyone/anything else (: x

Hi guys, do we just basically need to know about pain, bloodloss, infection, lister, simpson, operating environment, anasethetics and and antiseptics?? Cause i dont know what to revise - it seems too little compared to the medicine and treatment one and I'm afraid that i've missed somethings out??

Posted: 05-06-11 17:39 by Sara

we can't exactly know whats going to be on the paper so we can't say what to revise

BUT i've made a new revision page which is basically the actuall EDEXCEL sample assessment material, so have a look and have a try it;

^check it out

Hope this helps (: x

okay, thanks - and urm, are there mark schemes too??! :)

Posted: 05-06-11 18:10 by Sara

cause I tried to open a mark scheme, but it wont let, it wants like a user name and password?? Can you not get mark schemes as theyre only for teachers??

Posted: 05-06-11 18:31 by Sara

i'm not sure, i can't seem to find the other past paper i've done but the code is: 5HB03/3A  - cos i'm revising for the applied business exam i have tomorrow, but try that and why not get your teacher to mark it? x

Has anyone got any good ways to answer the sources? Like any easy to remember things to look out for and how to structure your answers for each question. Also how much roughly we are suppose to write. Thank youuuu

Hi Sarah, I posted a really useful website which helps you in answering all types of source questions, such as how useful/ reliable one is / comparing 2 sources etc

How did everyone find it? I thought it was okay- but timing your answers was probably the most difficult part! I managed to finish (I started from the back of paperwhich really helped) but many people did not complete the 16 mark question at the end! Hope everone found it okay! x

Posted: 07-06-11 17:12 by Izzy

I found it quite hard even though I timed myself right! And I didnt write enough :-(

Posted: 07-06-11 17:30 by Hannah

I was actually quite pleased with it! I finished 10 minutes early and had time to check it through - our teacher was helpful after the exam as she had the exam booklet and went through the questions and answers and we told her our answers and she commented on whether they were good and deserved the mark... But yeah, it wasnt as hard as I'd though it would be but appraently its the one next week on medicine and treatment which is supposed to be much harder :/ ***

Lol, urm, I think were talking about the edexcel paper, and I dont think there was a 12 marker in the edexcel paper... How many questions altogether did you answer?

Posted: 07-06-11 19:33 by Sara
