Hi,

The bottom line is:

  • Everything that is currently offered at no charge on Get Revising will remain free
  • Users will get fantastic additions to the free service over the next few months to make the free offering LOADS better
  • For those users who want to go the extra mile some advanced features will be subscription based
  • We will keep improving the service for both free users and for subscribers so everyone's a winner!

Hope this is clear - thanks for responding.

We have no plans to make any charge for access to all the resources that our brilliant users have shared - that would not be right. The subscription model is more likely to cover stuff that is very complex and expensive to code - maybe some advanced methods of testing and monitoring how you're getting on. But to be honest, we don't know at this point so we can't say much more! What we do know for sure is that loads of the new stuff will be free and will make Get Revising one of the most useful learning sites in the UK - for everyone!

We're hoping to have the first set of new tools live early next week.

Yep - first post in!

We're planning masses of new developments on GR over the next 12 months. Loads of new stuff will be free -as well as everything already on the site. But development doesn't come cheap and ad revenues are not great so it's almost certain that some of this will have to be paid for - probably by subscription. To be honest, we haven't decided which of the likely new features will be free and which part of a  subscription.
