I REALLY DONT GET THE WHOLE LENSES PART AND ITS A BIG CHUNK OF P3 SO IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME ON THE WHOLE LENSES THING I'D APPRECIATE IT :)
I don't to what detail you need it but lenses can work two ways,
Magnifying objects or making them appear further away.
Concave Lenses bend inwards and look something like this from side ways on; )(
where as convex lenses bend outwards and look something like this from sideways on: ()
The way I remeber then is conCAVE lenses bend in like a CAVE
Need any more detail?
no thats really helpful! both of you. its just seriously complicated and m6 teacher doesnt explain things very vell. any more information?x
heyys, concave lense is shaped like a cave, thats how i remember it and convex goes outwards, so the opposite. Look for similarities, if they ask you to draw a diagrapm, go from the top of the object straight (so the line is parralel) when it hits the y axis draw a line to the (F) and then draw another line from the top of the object, diagonal through the centre of the axis and where they cross is your image: images can be virtual, real, upright, inverted, maginfied.
If they ask you how can you tell this image is a virtual image, say: you can tell at the interseption of the virtual rays
the rays usually appear dotted in books and stuff,
